About Moe's mobile mechanic

Moe's mobile mechanic is an auto repair shop in Asheville, North Carolina. It is listed at 67 Buchanan Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, which places it among the local businesses of Asheville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (828) 337-0721. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 18 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Asheville and suggests consistent service.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Asheville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful service of Donald. My younger brother was using my car for a college fall break trip and on a weekend in the evening, and the serpentine belt snapped hundreds of miles from home. We reached out to so many companies and Donald was the only person in the area who could help. Donald was amazing at communicating with myself and my brother who was with the car, and even checked to make sure once it was fixed that my brother made it to his destination safely. Donald’s pricing was extremely reasonable and we could not have asked for a better person to help in this stressful situation. I would highly recommend this company be your first choice!

Donald was extremely helpful. We were visiting the area and had an issue with our car. We were far from him and he still came to us on a Sunday when he wasn’t working! He was fast with diagnosing our issue, knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonable as far as price. He really helped us in a pinch and I would highly recommend him.

If I could give Donald 0 stars, I would. Not only did he show up to my house smelling like he just drank a six pack, this man was asking me questions he should've known the answer to. Donald was unprepared to diagnose my crank no start issue. He assured me he would come back the next day at 3:30 to finish checking my car out. He never showed. After finally getting a hold of him he told me he was on his way twice and then decided to text me to tell me he wasn't coming at 8 pm. He assured me he would be here at 9:30 am this morning. Again, he no called- no showed. In conclusion, I hired this man to tell me why my car wouldn't fully start (I even had it narrowed down to a fuel issue before calling him and he didn't bring a fuel pressure gauge??) and instead of communicating to me that he didn't know how to figure it out, he lied and took my money. BE AWARE of the scammer. He only knows very basics.

I had an issue getting my car started. Donald was the only mechanic available same day, he came to my job and not only fixed my issue, but also took my car through the car wash and vacuumed it!!! Words cannot express how wonderful Donald is and I appreciate him soooo much! I will be calling him in the future for his excellent service- Sarah

I called Don at 6:30am and all he asked if he could wait until daylight to come. Within an hour he was at my hotel fixing my car. Within the next hour it was fixed and I was ready to drive home. He could have charged 5X as much as he did, but he quoted me an extremely reasonable price - too low even. He’s truly a good soul who wants to help people. I wish I could give him 10 stars!
